What is hip scoring, elbow scoring and eye testing?
Hip scoring measures 'how good the hip is' on a scale of 0-106 (up to 53 on each hip), 0 being perfect (but very rare!) and 106 being the worst possible score. The breed average for the Labradoodle currently stands at 14.
Elbow scoring measures 'how good the elbow is' on a scale of 0-3, 0 being perfect and 3 being the worst possible score.
Eye testing is an annual procedure which tests for the following inherited eye diseases:
MRD - Multifocal Retinal Dysplasia
TRD - Total Retinal Dysplasia
GPRA - Generalised Progressive Retinal Atrophy
CPRA - Central Progressive Retinal Atrophy
The result of this eye test is either 'clear' or 'affected'.
