What makes our Australian Labradooodles allergy-friendly?

Dander is the most common cause of dog-related allergies in humans. Dander is essentially millions of microscopic skin cells which are released from the dog’s body every time that an individual strand of the coat dies. This is what makes shedding dogs almost impossible for allergy sufferers to live with, since millions of individual hairs die and grow every single minute!

Since our Australian Labradoodles are non-shedding, the dander is very much reduced and this has allowed many families who could not previously have owned a dog due to allergies, to welcome an Australian Labradoodle into their family.

Sometimes, people can be allergic to dogs’ saliva rather than the dander, and obviously this is a completely different situation and unfortunately, no dog will be suitable. This does however, appear to be much rarer than the dander-induced type and we have had an excellent success rate of 98% when placing our puppies with allergy sufferers.

Our Australian Labradoodles do appear to be to be allergy friendly to many people, but this does not mean that everyone will be able to live with them. If in doubt, we suggest that you do your homework and come along for a visit to meet and interact with some of our dogs before welcoming a puppy into your home.
