Coat Colour

Lavender

Lavender Australian Labradoodles are born chocolate in colour and fade to a smoky, lavender, chocolate tone with an almost pink/lilac appearance. This is a very rare colour as most of the chocolates that fade tend toward café as opposed to lavender. The colour is usually uneven across the body and tends to form layers, similar to ‘highlights’! The nose pigment should be rose. It can be difficult to predict whether or not chocolate puppies will fade, and if so, whether that will be to café, lavender or parchment. As a rule of thumb, the lighter they are when born, the more likely they will fade further.

Availability

Most of our chocolate dogs have faded to café, lavender and parchment so we are lucky to be able to produce both miniature and medium lavender Australian Labradoodle puppies very frequently.
