Purchase Process

Our unique reservation and purchase process explained…

We have built an excellent reputation and as such, our puppies are usually reserved long before they are born. This means that we do things a little differently to most other breeders.

If you are interested in buying a Lomond Hills Australian Labradoodle puppy, the first stage is to come for an initial visit. This allows you to meet us, learn about the Australian Labradoodle breed, ask lots of questions, and most importantly, meet some of our amazing dogs in the flesh! This also allows us to assess your suitability as an Australian Labradoodle owner. We run these visits in small groups with two or three families visiting at a time, allowing you to benefit from others’ questions. At this stage, we can also advise you of our upcoming availability and can help you to make the best choice for you and your family. Once you are ready to make a reservation, we will ask you to complete a reservation form and pay a deposit to secure your puppy.

When the litter is born, we update everyone on our reservation list with the good news and provide photos on our website and on Facebook regularly.

We schedule the puppy visit day day for when the puppies are approximately 6 weeks old. At this stage, you are invited to come along and meet the litter with their mother. An interim payment is also due at this time. We only allow customers to meet the puppies after they have reached this age, and this is due to the increased risk of infection prior to this age. Young puppies are naturally more susceptible to infection than older puppies, or indeed adult dogs, and we do everything we can to safeguard against it and give them the best possible start in life. We do not make any exceptions to this rule.

Finally, the puppies are ready for collection when they are approximately 9 weeks old, and the balance is payable in cash at this stage.

Throughout the process, we will educate you regarding the care of your puppy so that you are fully prepared and can hit the ground running when your new family member arrives home with you. And of course, we are always on the end of the phone should you require further support or advice throughout the life of your Australian Labradoodle.

The length of time the purchase process takes depends entirely on what your preferences are and our availability at the time. From time to time we will have puppies on the ground that are available, but more often than not, an advance reservation is required. The more flexible you are in terms of the colour, size and coat type, the shorter the waiting time will be; but we understand that buying a puppy is a big decision and one to get right – many of our customers are willing to wait for the perfect puppy and sometimes that can take 9 – 12 months. Our advice is to plan as far in advance as you can and to come for your initial visit nice and early. This allows you to make an informed decision and increases the likelihood that we can provide you with the perfect puppy for you and your family within your desired time frame.

Please take a look at our Puppies page to see what we have available now and in the coming months.

Deposits can be paid either by cash, cheque or bankers draft. The balance which is due at the time of collection must be paid in cash, without exception. We reserve the right to refuse to sell to families which we feel will be unsuitable for one of our puppies, and any payments made are refunded if or when this occurs.
